About the role
We are seeking a detail-driven and highly organized Compliance Assistant to support our regulatory, accreditation, and reporting processes. This role is critical to ensuring ongoing compliance with Georgia state boards, GNPEC, and COE standards.
What you'll do
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining compliance with all regulatory agencies, including:
- Georgia State Board of Cosmetology and Barbers
- Georgia Board of Massage Therapy
- Georgia Nonpublic Postsecondary Education Commission (GNPEC)
- Council on Occupational Education (COE)
- Support compliance with applicable federal regulations and reporting requirements
- Prepare, organize, and maintain accurate student and institutional records for audits, inspections, and site visits
- Monitor student attendance, academic progress, and documentation to ensure compliance accuracy
- Assist in preparing and submitting required reports (GNPEC, COE, and other regulatory bodies)
- Conduct internal audits of student files and institutional documentation
- Ensure policies and procedures remain current and aligned with regulatory and accreditation standards
- Assist with scheduling and preparation for audits, inspections, and site visits
- Communicate compliance requirements, updates, and expectations to staff
- Maintain strict confidentiality of student and institutional records
Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred (Business, Education, or related field)
- 1–2 years of administrative or compliance experience (postsecondary education or beauty school experience preferred)
- Working knowledge of:
- Georgia State Board of Cosmetology and Barbers
- Georgia Board of Massage Therapy
- GNPEC requirements and reporting
- COE accreditation standards
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
