FINANCIAL COORDINATOR - CENTER FOR VIRTUAL CARE in Owings Mills, Maryland at LifeBridge Health

• Coordinates the daily billing activities of the Center for Virtual Care, works independently to maintain consistent workflow of all billing activities, and serves as a liaison between the Professional Billing Office,virtual care center providers, and third party payers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinates and monitors daily revenue cycle activities to optimize reimbursement opportunities. Collaborates with intradepartmental administration, providers, and interdepartmental representatives to support established policies and procedures.
• Verifies benefit coverage determines patient financial liability.
• May initiate patient payment plans.
• Works proactively and collaboratively to investigate and resolve patient billing issues.
• Provides documentation requested by third party payers to enhance reimbursement opportunities.
• Performs patient registration and appointment scheduling.
• Optimizes facility and professional charge entry and subsequent collections for all services provided.
• May collect co-pays and fees from patient.
• Ensures that batches balance at the end of the day.
• Performs charge entry.
• Reconciles daily collections and makes daily deposits.
• Reviews and resolves front desk edit reports, billing rejections, missing charge reports and claims manager edit reports.
• Investigates and resolves patient billing issues.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Education: Bachelor's degree preferred
• Experience: 1-3 years of related experience, Must be available to travel to different sites.
