- Support operational decision-making, team development initiatives, and the implementation of scalable fund administration policies and procedures.
- Define and optimize fund accounting workflows while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, automation, and service delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate product and system enhancement opportunities related to accounting operations and client servicing.
- Assist in training, mentoring, and supporting fund accountants to maintain high standards of accuracy, efficiency, and client service.
- Serve as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring timely communication and delivery of high-quality fund accounting and reporting services.
- Review and oversee accounting activities, financial reporting, investor allocations, capital calls, distributions, and waterfall calculations in accordance with partnership agreements.
- Prepare and review fund performance metrics including IRRs, TVPI, and other investor reporting requirements.
- Support annual audits, regulatory reporting, tax-related processes, and preparation of financial statements and disclosures.
- Research accounting developments and provide guidance regarding their impact on fund accounting operations and reporting practices.
- 4+ years of experience in fund accounting, audit, or related financial services roles with exposure to private equity, venture capital, private credit, and/or real estate funds.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of complex fund structures, capital calls, distributions, waterfall calculations, and investor allocations.
- Experience preparing and reviewing audited financial statements and annual reporting packages.
- Passion for leveraging technology to improve accounting operations, workflows, and client service delivery.
- Experience evaluating system requirements and participating in the implementation of accounting or operational systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strategic mindset with attention to detail and the ability to balance operational execution with broader business objectives.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in fast-paced and evolving environments.
