Wallpaper Installer in Los Angeles, California at Groom Construction Co Inc

We’re currently looking for highly motivated, self-sufficient individuals that are extremely productive and driven to produce the highest quality results in a fast-paced, demanding atmosphere for our retail division. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a variety of construction projects, ensuring high-quality finishes and customer satisfaction. Team members are required to have tools and to maintain a valid driver’s license. Travel is required for this position. The location will change depending on the project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Measure walls accurately to determine the amount of wallpaper needed
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and smoothing walls to ensure proper adhesion
• Apply wallpaper using appropriate techniques, including cutting, aligning, and smoothing to eliminate bubbles and wrinkles
• Use tools such as knives, brushes, and seam rollers to achieve a seamless finish
• Collaborate with clients and team members to understand design specifications and preferences
• Maintain a clean and organized work area during and after installation
• Follow safety protocols and industry standards to ensure a safe working environment

• Proven experience in wallpaper installation or related interior finishing work
• Strong attention to detail and precision
• Knowledge of different wallpaper types, adhesives, and installation techniques
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and instructions
• Good manual dexterity and physical stamina to handle repetitive tasks and work in various environments
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are preferred
• OSHA 10 or equivalent or willingness to obtain this certification within 60 days of employment. Groom will pay for course if passed.

Physical requirements

• Sufficient strength and physical dexterity to perform related duties and responsibilities of this job, such as lifting, pulling, and managing heavy equipment and objects.
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or 65 pounds without help.
• Prepared to work in all weather and must be prepared for extreme heat or cold.
• Ability to complete assigned tasks timely and effectively deal with the public courteously and respectfully.
