About the Role:

The Counseling Intern position offers a comprehensive opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a clinical or community counseling setting under the supervision of licensed professionals. Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a graduate program in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of counseling theories and mental health practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a counseling or mental health setting through internships or volunteer work.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Training or coursework in trauma-informed care or crisis intervention.
  • Multilingual abilities to support diverse client populations.
  • Certification in CPR or first aid.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial client intakes and assist in ongoing counseling sessions under supervision.
  • Observe and participate in treatment planning and case management activities.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with organizational and legal standards.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support holistic client care.
