This remote role offers the opportunity to support customers by transforming complex data from multiple systems into accurate, reliable solutions. You will play a key part in implementation projects by analyzing business requirements, developing conversion strategies, and ensuring successful data migrations. Working closely with project teams and customers, you will help deliver high-quality outcomes while solving technical challenges. The role combines database expertise, analytical thinking, and customer collaboration in a fast-paced environment. You will contribute to improving processes, maintaining data quality, and supporting successful software deployments. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys technology, problem-solving, and meaningful client interactions.
- Perform data conversions for new customer implementations and support additional data-related activities for existing customers.
- Analyze business rules, data structures, and customer requirements to determine effective conversion approaches.
- Work directly with customers to understand data conversion needs, resolve issues, and ensure project milestones are achieved.
- Create data mapping documentation, project estimates, and conversion-related documentation.
- Participate in defining project scope and contribute to implementation planning activities.
- Develop data conversion scripts focused on accuracy, efficiency, and reusability.
- Build strong knowledge of software functionality, data structures, and system requirements to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Collaborate with Project Managers and implementation teams to monitor timelines, identify risks, and support successful delivery.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects while following established processes and recommending improvements where applicable.
- Maintain knowledge of industry best practices, technical tools, and data conversion methodologies.
- Work with technical support teams to deliver tested and approved data conversions into customer testing and production environments.
- Provide excellent customer service throughout the implementation lifecycle.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Advanced expertise in MS SQL, including complex queries and writing data conversion scripts.
- Experience working with database systems, data transformation, and migration processes.
- Ability to interpret business requirements and recommend practical technical solutions.
- Strong analytical thinking and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve data-related issues.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle project pressure.
- Positive, proactive attitude with strong ownership and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience with MS SQL Reporting Services or equivalent reporting tools is an asset.
- Experience with ESRI ArcGIS or similar geographic information systems is an asset.
- Experience with local government applications or comparable enterprise software solutions is an advantage.
