Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and personable Business Development Representative to develop new business relationships with nursing homes, skilled nursing facilities, assisted-living communities, rehabilitation centers, and other healthcare facilities.
The primary responsibility of this position is to identify facilities that could benefit from our vascular services, establish relationships with administrators and healthcare decision-makers, educate them about our services, and develop referral partnerships that generate new business.
This is a relationship-driven, field-based sales position for someone who enjoys meeting people, making connections, and developing long-term business relationships in the healthcare community.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop relationships with nursing homes, skilled nursing facilities, assisted-living facilities, rehabilitation centers, and other healthcare organizations.
- Research and identify potential facilities that have a need for vascular services.
- Contact facility administrators, Directors of Nursing, Medical Directors, case managers, discharge planners, and other appropriate decision-makers.
- Attend Quality meetings at facilities
- Schedule and conduct in-person visits and presentations with facility leadership and healthcare staff.
- Explain our vascular services and how we can support their residents and patients.
- Develop referral relationships and establish our company as a trusted vascular-service provider.
- Follow up consistently with prospective and existing facility partners.
- Maintain a pipeline of prospective facilities and track contacts, meetings, referrals, and business opportunities.
- Work closely with our clinical and operations teams to ensure a smooth transition from referral to patient care.
- Attend healthcare networking events, industry meetings, and community events to develop new relationships.
- Identify opportunities to expand services within existing facility relationships.
- Maintain accurate records of business-development activities and report progress to management.
- Meet established goals for facility outreach, meetings, new relationships, and referrals.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, outgoing, and persistent relationship builder who is comfortable approaching healthcare organizations and developing business from the ground up.
Experience in healthcare sales or business development is preferred, particularly experience working with:
- Nursing homes
- Skilled nursing facilities
- Assisted-living facilities
- Home health agencies
- Hospice organizations
- Hospitals
- Rehabilitation facilities
- Physician practices
- Long-term care organizations
Candidates with strong sales, networking, marketing, or healthcare relationship-building experience will also be considered.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in business development, sales, healthcare marketing, or account management preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable making cold calls and conducting face-to-face meetings.
- Professional and confident when speaking with healthcare administrators and clinical leadership.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple prospects and relationships.
- Self-directed and able to work independently.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to healthcare facilities.
- Ability to build trust and maintain long-term professional relationships.
- Familiarity with the long-term-care and senior-care healthcare environment is a plus.

Compensation:
We are open to structuring compensation with a base salary or hourly rate plus performance-based incentives tied to successful business development and new facility relationships.
