I.Position Summary: To provide optimal, safe and effective nursing care utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with policies and procedures of the hospital, and professional nursing standards at both Saint Francis and Thomas memorial hospitals. Ensure optimal quality patient care. Demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in the planning of patient care.

1. Position Requirements:

A. Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current WV RN license or licensure pending as documented by temporary licensure.

B. Education: Graduate of Registered Nursing program.

1. Experience: 1-3 years experience in occupational field. Previous hospital experience in area of cardiovascular specialty

preferred.

1. Safety: Participate in all required educational and competency offerings related to safety, including patient safety activities. Agree to abide by the SaintFrancisHospitalimplementation plans for the JCAHO National Patient Safety Goals. Provide feedback concerning any patient safety issues identified within the hospital.

1. Special qualifications: BCLS validation within 60 days of employment, with revalidation per AHA guidelines. ACLS required within 1 year of employment, with revalidation per AHA guidelines.

1. Hours of work:Able to work scheduled hours as dictated by business needs includes rotating shifts, and overtime hours. Subject to flexing and floating policies. Must be available to take call.

1. Attendance: Consistent, predictable attendance, including punctuality, is required.

1. Mandatory Committee Membership: Not applicable.
