Job Summary:
The Senior Accountant is an individual who can elicit high levels of personal trust and confidence with internal and external customers. The role requires demonstrating personal accountability to ensure objectives are results driven, communicated, and compliant.
The Senior Accountant provides ownership and execution of the day-to-day financial accounting functions for the Company (Corporate + Regions). The position assists with ensuring financial reporting accuracy and timeliness by leading the month-end close process. The position assists with the daily management and coordination of working capital and cash flow.
The Senior Accountant will support the regional leadership teams with key financial information and operational analytics, assist with implementing accounting policies and procedures as directed by the Accounting Manager commensurate with GAAP and any new or anticipated accounting standard changes.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities:
· Responsible for month-end close including journal entries, Balance Sheet reconciliations, and Financial Statement reporting, leading to an analytical review of operating results (flux analysis). Review with Accounting Manager and Regional Controllers monthly.
· Assist with treasury management, including daily cash reconciliation, monthly bank reconciliation and cash forecasting via 13-week cash flow forecast.
· Assist with external audits, including year-end financial audit, insurance audits, sales/use tax audits.
· Understand the workflows of other accounting/finance team members to serve as a reputable backup, including Accounts Payable, Project Accounting, varying degree of Payroll.
· Assist with updating and reporting key performance metrics to the business (accruals, trial balance, expenses, monthly reforecasts, and EBITDA) as needed.
· Assist with the continuous improvement and monitoring of internal controls; help maintain a strong internal control environment.
· Assist with producing the corporate and regional financial projections and budgets.
· Assist with the business’s process to select weekly/monthly/quarterly payments in accordance with the financial obligations and liquidity levels of the business.
· Responsible for the monthly union reporting.
· Assist with the compliance of local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filing needs.
· Review/assist with Construction Use Tax reconciliations with Project Accountants.
· Perform related duties as required, including ad-hoc reporting and special projects.

Preferred Qualifications – Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent required. Minimum two (2) years of experience in an Accounting role in a Company.
· CPA and/or other financial certification preferred.
· Prior experience working in a Public Accounting firm preferred.
· Intermediate to advanced Excel skills required, including the remaining Microsoft Office package.
· Experience working with auditors preferred.
· Experience with ERP system; Sage 300 CRE a plus; ServiceTrade a plus; Tableau a plus.
· Construction and/or project/job cost accounting experience preferred.
· Prior experience in construction and/or service-related industry a plus.
· Private equity experience a plus.
