About the Role
The Guest Service Agent at Summit plays a crucial role in ensuring that every guest has a memorable and enjoyable experience during their stay. This position manages guest check-ins and check-outs, addresses inquiries, and resolves any issues that may arise, all while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
Serving as the first point of contact for guests, the Guest Service Agent sets the tone for their visit and ensures that their needs are met promptly and efficiently. This role also involves collaborating with various departments to provide seamless service and enhance the overall guest experience, contributing to Summit’s reputation as a premier hospitality destination.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in the hospitality industry
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with hotel management software or property management systems
Multilingual abilities to assist a diverse range of guests
Certification in hospitality or customer service training
Responsibilities
Greet guests upon arrival and assist with the check-in process to ensure a smooth experience
Handle guest inquiries and requests, providing accurate information about hotel services, amenities, and local attractions
Manage the check-out process, including processing payments and addressing billing inquiries
Resolve guest complaints and issues professionally and promptly to ensure satisfaction
Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest rooms and common areas are clean and well-maintained
Skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively interact with guests
Strong problem-solving skills to quickly resolve guest issues
Attention to detail for managing reservations and fulfilling guest requests accurately
Familiarity with hotel management software to enhance efficiency (preferred)
Multilingual abilities to support communication with international guests (preferred)
Customer service-oriented mindset to create a welcoming and positive guest experience
