The role combines partner strategy, sales leadership, business planning, and technology expertise in a complex enterprise environment. You will develop joint business plans, align internal sales teams, and activate partner ecosystems to expand market opportunities. - Build trusted, executive-level relationships with SLED partners and act as a strategic advisor on market opportunities, technology trends, customer priorities, and business growth strategies.
- Develop and execute joint business plans that drive end-to-end revenue, profitability, pipeline generation, market share, and partner commitment.
- Create scalable partner-led selling motions across “sell with,” “sell to,” and “sell through” models, tailoring solutions to partner and customer needs.
- Lead account mapping and sales alignment between partners and internal field teams to identify opportunities, accelerate pipeline, and improve revenue outcomes.
- Coordinate sales, marketing, education, executive engagement, forecasting, business planning, and customer activities with partners, leveraging specialist resources when appropriate.
- Develop strong knowledge of technology portfolios, competitive positioning, partner priorities, industry trends, and IT investment strategies to differentiate solutions and increase adoption.
- Influence partners to expand their investment in sales representatives, solution architects, and other resources aligned with the technology portfolio.
- Tailor products, services, and technology alliances to the needs of partner customers while consistently pursuing assigned sales targets.
- Identify and develop new partner relationships where appropriate, increasing channel coverage and commitment within the SLED segment.
- Monitor partner sales activity and pipeline development, providing hands-on support where needed to accelerate opportunities.
- Ensure partners understand and comply with applicable standards of business conduct, legal requirements, and partner program expectations.
- 7+ years of sales experience at the end-user account or partner level, preferably in complex technology environments.
- Proven experience selling to and through partners, with strong preference for experience working with State, Local, and Education (SLED) organizations and channel ecosystems.
- Strong understanding of partner-led sales models, account management, pipeline development, forecasting, business planning, and quota attainment.
- Demonstrated ability to influence executive stakeholders and build mutually beneficial relationships across partners and internal teams.
- Solid understanding of current technology trends and the ability to translate technical capabilities into compelling business value.
- Strong financial and business acumen, including familiarity with revenue planning, financial fundamentals, forecasting, and assessing business opportunities.
- Ability to develop strategic account and partner plans aligned with customer priorities and organizational objectives.
- Strong negotiation, conflict-management, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, anticipate partner needs, and proactively address sales gaps.
- Creative, entrepreneurial, and solution-oriented mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and take initiative in a competitive market.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to integrate sales efforts across partners, field teams, specialists, marketing, and other internal stakeholders.
- University or bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
- Competitive compensation: Annual salary and target sales compensation range of $199,000–$386,000 USD for Massachusetts, depending on location, experience, education, training, and skills.
- 60/40 compensation mix: Target compensation is structured with approximately 60% base salary and 40% target-level sales compensation at 100% attainment.
