Job Description

Sr. Manager, Performance Marketing

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. Manager, Performance Marketing based in United States.

This is a high-impact opportunity to build a performance marketing engine from the ground up within a fast-growing B2B software environment.
You’ll own the strategy and hands-on execution across paid media, SEO, AI-driven visibility, and conversion optimization.
The role combines demand capture and demand creation, connecting every marketing investment to measurable pipeline and revenue outcomes.
You’ll work directly in advertising accounts and analytics while coordinating agencies, contractors, creative teams, and cross-functional partners.
A major focus will be establishing scalable experimentation, measurement, attribution, and budget optimization practices.
You’ll also help shape how financial advisors discover and evaluate an emerging AI-native technology category.
This player-coach role offers substantial ownership, autonomy, and the opportunity to build a team as investment and impact grow.

Accountabilities:
  • Own the paid media strategy and execution across Google, Bing, LinkedIn, YouTube, Reddit, and emerging advertising channels, continuously optimizing spend toward qualified pipeline and ROI.
  • Audit and rebuild existing paid programs, eliminate inefficient spend, rebalance investment across channels, and develop an evergreen acquisition strategy.
  • Manage the full buyer journey from discovery and education through conversion, ensuring paid programs effectively support both demand capture and demand creation.
  • Lead SEO, AEO, and GEO initiatives, increasing visibility across traditional search engines and AI-driven discovery platforms such as AI Overviews, ChatGPT, and Perplexity.
  • Develop and execute SEO and AI-visibility roadmaps covering competitor pages, category opportunities, long-tail queries, and content optimized for AI discovery.
  • Own conversion rate optimization, including landing pages, offers, conversion paths, and experimentation designed to improve acquisition and trial performance.
  • Establish a structured test-and-learn program across creative formats, audiences, offers, messaging, and channels, using clear hypotheses and measurable outcomes.
  • Partner with creative and growth teams to develop performance-focused assets and improve downstream conversion.
  • Own channel-level measurement and reporting, including spend pacing, CPL, cost per opportunity, and pipeline generated per marketing dollar.
  • Maintain strong UTM, attribution, and CRM reporting practices in partnership with Marketing Operations, ensuring budget decisions are based on reliable pipeline data rather than platform-level vanity metrics.
  • Manage the performance marketing budget and external agencies or vendors, clearly communicating the financial rationale and expected trade-offs behind investment decisions.
  • Test and evaluate new acquisition channels, scaling those that demonstrate meaningful results while quickly discontinuing those that do not.
  • Build trusted weekly reporting that enables marketing and sales leadership to make informed decisions about channel performance and budget allocation.
  • Develop the performance marketing team and operating model as investment and business scale increase.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience owning performance marketing or paid acquisition within a high-growth B2B software environment, with hands-on expertise across Google Ads, LinkedIn, and Bing.
  • Strong full-funnel measurement capabilities, including UTMs, attribution, CRM-connected reporting, Salesforce, pipeline measurement, and ROI optimization.
  • Working knowledge of SEO and AI-era search visibility, including AEO/GEO and how buyers increasingly use AI-generated answers alongside traditional search.
  • Proven experience with CRO and landing-page optimization, including testing pages, offers, audiences, and creative to deliver measurable conversion improvements.
  • A demonstrated builder mentality, with experience creating new programs, auditing existing systems, and rebuilding underperforming acquisition engines rather than simply maintaining established programs.
  • Experience managing a $1M+ annual marketing budget and external agency or vendor relationships.
  • Strong analytical judgment and the ability to connect channel activity to pipeline, CAC, ROI, and broader business outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain performance, defend budget decisions, and communicate trade-offs clearly to executive stakeholders.
  • Comfortable operating as a player-coach, balancing strategic ownership with hands-on execution in advertising platforms and analytics.
  • Highly proactive, entrepreneurial, and comfortable working with ambiguity in a fast-moving environment.
  • Nice to have: experience in financial services or wealth management.
  • Nice to have: experience with YouTube Demand Gen, Reddit, community-driven paid programs, ABM platforms such as 6sense, Marketo, or intent-data solutions.
Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation package.
  • Equity participation.
  • Comprehensive health and wellness benefits.
  • Remote-friendly working arrangement within the United States.
  • Flexible time off.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and increased ownership as the organization scales.
  • Opportunity to work in a high-growth, AI-focused environment with direct influence on pipeline, customer acquisition, and category development.
  • A culture built around high velocity, world-class execution, and direct, kind, no-drama collaboration.
