Product Manager - Imaging

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Product Manager - Imaging based in the United States.

This role offers the opportunity to own and grow a specialized medical imaging product portfolio with significant commercial and customer impact.
You will combine clinical or technical imaging expertise with market insight, product strategy, and strong business judgment.
The position partners closely with Sales, Marketing, Customer Experience, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to identify opportunities and shape portfolio priorities.
You will serve as a trusted internal expert on imaging products, workflows, applications, and evolving customer needs.
The role also provides substantial customer-facing exposure through discovery calls, demonstrations, product evaluations, site visits, and industry events.
Success will come from making informed portfolio decisions that improve customer value, revenue, margins, availability, and long-term growth.

Accountabilities
  • Own the Imaging product category, including assortment, positioning, performance, lifecycle management, growth priorities, and portfolio strategy.
  • Partner with Sales on strategic opportunities and customer engagements, including discovery calls, customer visits, product evaluations, demonstrations, business reviews, and industry events.
  • Serve as an internal subject matter expert on Imaging products, workflows, applications, market trends, and practical customer requirements.
  • Develop a strong understanding of Imaging workflows, buying criteria, suppliers, competitors, and market dynamics through customer feedback, research, and field engagement.
  • Lead category reviews and provide leadership with recommendations regarding priorities, risks, opportunities, and required actions.
  • Evaluate and recommend assortment, SKU, supplier, replacement, rationalization, and product discontinuation decisions.
  • Analyze sales, margin, pricing, cost, supplier, customer, and market information to define and optimize category strategies and KPIs.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Customer Experience teams to capture customer feedback, address product questions, and improve selling guidance.
  • Partner with Marketing to develop product marketing materials, sales enablement resources, and practical selling tools.
  • Provide or support product education and training for internal teams and customers.
  • Participate in strategic supplier discussions, business reviews, product planning, and lifecycle initiatives.
  • Monitor market and category signals and recommend actions that improve commercial performance, customer value, and portfolio health.
  • Maintain a focused product roadmap and lead business requirements and commercial decisions for selected product development and lifecycle initiatives.
  • Build alignment across cross-functional stakeholders while communicating category priorities clearly and diplomatically.
  • Travel up to approximately 50% for customer meetings, visits, demonstrations, evaluations, and industry events.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, a clinical discipline, or a related technical field is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of meaningful medical Imaging experience across multiple modalities, product categories, customer environments, or workflow areas.
  • Relevant experience may come from clinical practice, medical distribution, product or category management, sales, marketing, or another closely related field.
  • Strong knowledge of Imaging products and workflows, with the ability to speak credibly about customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions from a consultative perspective.
  • Strong customer-facing communication, presentation, discovery, and relationship-building skills.
  • Commercial acumen with the ability to work confidently with sales, margin, pricing, cost, customer, supplier, and market data.
  • Ability to translate complex clinical, technical, and product information into clear, practical guidance.
  • Strong prioritization, decision-making, analytical, and creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate effectively across Sales, Marketing, Customer Experience, suppliers, and other internal teams.
  • Strong ability to identify emerging market trends, anticipate challenges, and develop proactive solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present recommendations to different stakeholder groups.
  • Proficiency with standard office productivity tools, including Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a dynamic, customer-focused environment.
