What you’ll do - Key Responsibilities

• Review and audit accounts, cash receipts, payroll & other accounting records and transactions
• Review, prepare and enter journal entries for recording in the accounting system
• Reconcile financial ledgers & bank records
• Create financial statements & reports, general and subsidiary ledgers (and supporting schedules)
• Research and resolve discrepancies
• Reconcile taxes withheld, prepare monthly and quarterly government reporting
• Assist with the annual audit
• Oversee the annual business licensing process

You Have (Knowledge & Abilities):

• Bachelor’s degree and/or 5 years of governmental accounting experience
• Ability to pass an extensive background check
• Excellent computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel
• Tyler Technologies experience a plus
