Risas Dental and Braces is seeking a Director of Human Resources to lead HR strategy and operations across our growing multi-state organization.
This role is responsible for building scalable HR programs that support our teams, strengthen compliance, improve retention, and enhance the employee experience across 27 dental and orthodontic locations. The Director of Human Resources will partner closely with executive leadership, doctors, regional leaders, practice managers, and support center teams to align people strategy with business growth.

Key Responsibilities- Lead HR strategy and operations across a multi-state healthcare organization
- Advise executive and field leadership on employee relations, compliance, and performance management
- Oversee HR policies, handbooks, investigations, corrective actions, and employment practices
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws across AZ, TX, CO, and NV
- Build scalable HR processes that support growth, consistency, and employee experience
- Partner with leaders on workforce planning, retention, engagement, and leadership development
- Use HR metrics to identify trends and recommend practical solutions
- Support compensation, benefits, HR systems, reporting, and process improvement
- Coach managers on communication, accountability, documentation, and team leadership
- Champion the Risas culture and support a positive, high-performance workplace
- 8+ years of progressive Human Resources experience
- 10+ years in HR leadership, preferably in a multi-site healthcare, dental, retail, or service environment
- Strong knowledge of employee relations, employment law, compliance, and HR operations
- Experience supporting distributed field teams and hourly workforces
- Strong executive presence and ability to influence leaders at all levels
- Practical, business-minded approach to solving people and operational challenges
- Excellent communication, judgment, discretion, and follow-through
- Bachelor’s degree required
- SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, SPHR, or PHR certification preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Full-time leadership role
- Based near the Risas Support Center in Phoenix, AZ
- Onsite presence required
- Periodic travel to practices in Arizona, Texas, Colorado, and Nevada
