Job Description:

Under general supervision, following instructions and procedures, which are defined, but which also require the exercise of consistent independent judgment in application, employee assists with the duties necessary for the administration of the Human Resources Department. These duties encompass recruitment, benefits, and administration of the Company’s FAA mandated random drug screening program. This position reports directly to the Human Resource Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assists with recruitment, interviews, and facilitating the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Maintains accurate ATS for agency candidates and direct applicants.
  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
  • Tracks affirmative action planning data related to hiring and terminations.
  • Administers mandated random drug screening program and drug screening for new hires.
  • Conducts new hire orientation.
  • Performs routine tasks to assist with administration and execution of human resource programs including but not limited to benefits and leave; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Assists with the administration of E-Verify Employment Eligibility Verification Program.
  • Maintains employee files and records in electronic and paper form.
  • Conducts himself/herself in a business-like and civil manner.
  • Performs common administrative office tasks, such as scanning, copying, and filing.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Skills and Requirements:

  • CCS must comply with ITAR standards, therefore candidates must be US Citizens or legal permanent residents.
  • Proficient knowledge of current Federal and Arizona employment laws and regulations. California knowledge is a plus.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel proficiency.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Outlook proficiency.
  • ADP Workforce Now experience with recruitment module, TLM, benefits module, and electronic onboarding module.
  • Sensitivity, maturity, and a high level of confidentiality.
  • Ability to think critically and make sound judgements.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Effective time management skills and attention to detail.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 5 pounds.
