GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE POSITION:
The Program Manager (PM) at Tatum Psychology Employment Group is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, ensuring high-quality patient care is delivered in compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. Reporting into the Program Director, the Program Manager will supervise clinical and administrative staff, manage program schedules, monitor clinical documentation, and support continuous quality improvement initiatives. The Program Manager will play a key role in staff development, interdisciplinary coordination, and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and referral sources.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Compliance, Standards, and Quality Assurance
- Follows and improves standards, policies, and procedures.
- Participates in agency quality improvement activities.
- Ensures program and staff compliance with regulatory standards and community standards of care.
- Evaluates Joint Commission standards of practice and ensures ongoing compliance.
- Conducts EMR reviews and ensures program maintains EMR compliance with HIPAA, ADA, Joint Commission, and DHCS regulations.
- Oversee insurance compliance (utilization review, medical necessity criteria, clinical programming requirements).
2. Clinical Oversight and Patient Care
- Oversee patients’ progress in treatment and ensure level of care is appropriate based on medical necessity.
- Ensures coordination of services for families and multi-disciplinary team members for patients in treatment.
- Assists clinical and non-clinical staff in providing crisis-intervention.
- Assists the family in working with the clinical staff toward treatment goals.
- Record interventions and interactions with patients.
3. Staff Management and Training
- Assists with the recruitment, training, and qualifying of staff, contractors, and others (practicum students, interns).
- Provides support on performance measurement and outcome evaluation.
4. Program and Operations Management
- Consults with the Admissions Department to ensure intakes are scheduled accordingly.
- Develops weekly and monthly schedules for programming.
- Attends and/or facilitates interdisciplinary staff meetings, case conferences, team meetings, in-service, and other meetings when appropriate.
5. Community Relations and Representation
- Builds strong collaborative relationships with patients and referral sources, and acts as a representative of TPEG.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:
- Performs other duties as may be assigned.
- Follows and supports TPEG policies and procedures.
- Works collaboratively and cooperatively with internal and external partners.
- Represents TPEG, Inc., by embodying the mission, vision and values of the organization.
- Travels occasionally during the workday and on occasional overnight stay. (Compensation for mileage, food and lodging provided.)
- Maintains regular attendance at work and company activities and demonstrates punctuality regarding deadlines.
- Displays creativity and vision in recommending new tactics and strategies.
- Expands and updates job knowledge through educational opportunities and professional learning.

Requirements:MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
- RELATED EXPERIENCE: Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the mental health field. Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience.
- SKILLS: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- OTHER EXPERIENCE / SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Experience working with culturally diverse individuals and communities or have otherwise demonstrated a commitment to strengthening engagement of a diverse community and skill in communicating with diverse populations.
- Familiarity with equity and/or diversity initiatives within an organization.
- Written and oral communication skills sufficient to perform essential functions.
- Demonstrated ability to make decisions independently and use initiative to accomplish complex assignments with general instruction and guidance.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise judgment and integrity on the job with confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy.
- Demonstrated ability to organize time and other resources to perform multiple tasks.

- Physical and mental attributes sufficient to perform essential functions.

- Valid Driver's License
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
- Proficient in English Language
- Proficient communicator
