Position Summary

The Automotive Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing Chevrolet vehicles while delivering high-quality workmanship and exceptional customer service. This position performs repairs efficiently and accurately in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards while working collaboratively with Service Advisors and fellow technicians.

Responsibilities
  • Perform repairs as outlined on repair orders according to dealership and manufacturer standards.

  • Diagnose, inspect, maintain, and repair vehicle systems, including:

    • Engine

    • Transmission

    • Electrical

    • Steering and Suspension

    • Braking Systems

    • Heating and Air Conditioning

    • Drivetrain and other automotive components

  • Perform vehicle inspections and road tests to verify customer concerns and completed repairs.

  • Utilize electronic diagnostic equipment and GM service information.

  • Communicate repair recommendations and additional service needs with Service Advisors.

  • Provide accurate estimates for additional repairs when requested.

  • Complete warranty repairs according to General Motors specifications.

  • Maintain accurate repair documentation and complete repair orders.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

  • Follow all dealership safety policies and procedures.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Who We're Looking For

We're seeking an experienced automotive technician who enjoys solving mechanical and electrical issues, takes pride in quality workmanship, and values working as part of a collaborative team.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Five (5) or more years of professional automotive repair experience preferred.

  • GM dealership experience or manufacturer training is a plus but not required.

  • ASE Certifications are preferred.

  • Strong diagnostic, electrical, and engine repair skills.

  • Experience working with modern diagnostic equipment and repair technology.

  • A commitment to performing repairs accurately and efficiently.

  • A positive attitude and strong work ethic.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Basic computer proficiency.

  • Willingness to continue technical education and manufacturer training.

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Compensation

The Automotive Service Technician position offers a competitive hourly compensation package based on experience, certifications, and completed manufacturer training.

Hourly Pay Range: $33.80–$54.00 per hour

Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, technical ability, certifications, manufacturer training, and overall qualifications.
