HR Generalist

Position Summary
The Human Resources Generalist is motivated, detail-oriented, and passionate about HR. This individual will work closely with the HR team to support a variety of HR functions, including payroll, recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, and day-to-day HR operations. This role will offer many opportunities for the individual to deepen their HR expertise, contribute to team initiatives, and continue career development within the organization. Lastly, the ideal candidate will represent HR as a credible and trustworthy partner to both employees and leadership.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The core tasks this role is responsible for performing on a regular basis.- Process weekly and semi-monthly payroll, including report coordination with Accounting, and resolution of payroll-related inquiries.
- Support HRIS administration, system improvements, process enhancements, and accurate maintenance of employee data and records.
- Support full-cycle recruitment and onboarding, including job needs assessments, sourcing, screening, interviewing, offers, new hire paperwork, orientation, and cross-functional coordination.
- Manage employee benefit programs, process benefit changes, and coordinate monthly benefits billing.
- Respond to employee questions regarding payroll, benefits, HR policies, and procedures.
- Support employee relations, leave administration, and compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
- Coordinate employee engagement, recognition, DE&I, and other HR programs and initiatives.
- Assist with training and development programs.
- Administer HR policies, employee acknowledgements, employment verifications, and other HR documentation.
- Provide HR administrative support for special projects, meetings, and other organizational needs.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field; or equivalent relevant experience
- HR certification (e.g. SHRM-CP or PHR) is a plus
- 3+ years of experience in human resources or a related administrative role
- Practiced knowledge of HR principles, labor laws, and best practices
- Experience with HRIS platforms
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
