The Human Resources Generalist will work as part of an HR Shared Services Department supporting over 230 employees globally. This hands-on role will be responsible for performing key HR initiatives, providing support in various areas such as recruiting, benefits, HRIS administration, payroll, and employee relations. Success in this role requires strong judgment, relationship-building skills, and a visible onsite presence. This position is fully onsite and is not eligible for hybrid or remote work.

Major Areas of Accountability:

  • Full-cycle recruitment for exempt, nonexempt and temporary employees including job postings, interviews, and scheduling manager interviews
  • Oversees the on-boarding experience to include processing new hire paperwork, ensuring proper system access, coordinating onboarding plan, and reviewing company policies and procedures with new employees
  • Provides guidance to employees and managers in the interpretation and execution of company policies and various employment laws
  • Monitors and coordinates performance appraisal program
  • Participates in benefit plan design meetings for employees
  • Maintain and update employee information and records as needed (new hires, terminations, promotions, etc.)
  • Acts as back up for processing payroll using ADP WFN
  • Participates in developing HR department goals and objectives
  • Supports and maintains Circuit Check’s HR processes and standard operating procedures
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention
  • Works with HR Manager on responding to management and employee relation issues by investigating and appropriate follow up.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or related field is required.
  • A minimum of three years of experience working as a Human Resource professional.
  • Previous experience with HR Information Systems and Applicant Tracking Systems, preferably ADP Workforce Now.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including, employee relations, recruiting, talent management, and local and governmental employment laws
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to balance conflicting points of view, function effectively under pressure and demonstrate discretion, integrity, fair-mindedness and confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a collaborative manner
  • Demonstrates initiative and flexibility to manage multiple tasks with conflicting priorities
  • Ability to think creatively and comfortable being hands-on in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrates ability to complete a project and meet deadlines
  • Detail oriented with strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to remain current and comply with all local and government employment policies, laws, regulations, company policies, procedures and best practices
  • Ability to be flexible and available to interact with employees at all levels
  • Maintain a positive, professional image and demeanor
  • Requires a strong initiative, proactive nature, and a sense of urgency
  • This position may require working additional hours during periods of peak demand
  • Maintains confidentiality and security of intellectual property (ITAR, Prototype).

Physical Requirements (these physical requirements must be performed with or without accommodation):

  • Majority of time is spent in usual office working conditions
  • Ability to sit for extended lengths of time is required; bend, reach, stoop and twist as required
  • Heavy use of an office computer for completing work
  • Minimal exposure to moving mechanical parts and vibration with a risk of electrical shock
  • Regular exposure to manufacturing areas which may entail exposure to dirt, dust, noise, machine chemicals, fumes and other attributes common to this environment
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 10 lbs
  • Ability to work extended hours as job duties demand.

This job description reflects management’s assignment of key responsibilities; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned.

The salary range is $32.69 - $39.42 per hour, the equivalent of $68,000 to $82,000 per year. The hiring manager will determine the final starting salary (within the salary range) based on the successful applicant’s qualifications.

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without needing sponsorship for an employment visa (e.g., H1B status). Because Circuit Check is a federal contractor, we participate in the E-Verify program in certain locations, as required by law.

Compensation includes hourly base rate and performance-based quarterly profit sharing. Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, term life insurance, short-term and long-term disability, and retirement programs. Paid leave includes paid time off and holiday pay.
