We are searching for a HR Generalist
Position Overview:
The HR Generalist will play a critical role in supporting the workforce, fostering strong relationships between management and employees, and ensuring compliance with employment law and company policies for MN and AZ based employees. This role will be responsible for employee relations, employee communication, performance management, payroll administration, and other people initiatives. Additionally, this role will be primarily based in the office but will also have remote flexibility each week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Employee Relations: Act as the first point of contact for employees to address workplace concerns
- Recruitment and Onboarding: Work with the recruiter to assist with interviews and new hire orientation, ensuring alignment with company policies and workforce needs.
- Performance Management: Partner with managers to facilitate performance reviews, investigations/disciplinary actions. Help create and process improve the employee development process.
- Compliance: Maintain a thorough understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws, ensuring compliance in all HR practices and policies.
- Training and Development: Working with our trainer, identify training needs, organize employee development initiatives, and facilitate workshops or programs that align with organizational goals.
- Compensation and Benefits: Assist with payroll and benefits administration, address employee inquiries, and ensure timely resolution of compensation-related matters.
- HR Reporting: Generate and analyze HR metrics and reports, providing data-driven recommendations to management.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, or related field
- Minimum 2 years human resources experience in a property management, multifamily housing, manufacturing or other high employee contact environment.
- Strong computer systems skills, specifically MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Experience with ADP or similar systems highly desired.
- Experience managing and running payroll is desired.
- Effective written and verbal communication, analytical and influencing skills.
- Must be able to protect the confidentiality of employee interactions and records. Comply with all HIPAA privacy regulations.
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and quickly adapt to and support change.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently or in a collaborative manner.
- Fundamental understanding of basic employment law.
- PHR and/or SHRM-CP certification preferred, but not required
Compensation Information:
Salary Range: $65,000-75,000. The market rate for the role is typically at the midpoint of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as candidate qualifications, relevant years of experience, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
