This role is an opportunity to take ownership of strategic retail accounts within a fast-growing consumer packaged goods environment. You will lead revenue, distribution, trade funding, and P&L performance across major retail partners. Working closely with sales, analytics, marketing, merchandising, brokers, and executive leadership, you will turn customer and market insights into measurable growth. The position combines strategic account management with hands-on execution across pricing, promotions, distribution, and forecasting. You will build senior retailer relationships while identifying new opportunities for product and category expansion. With significant visibility and travel, this role is ideal for a commercially driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Own total sales, P&L, distribution, and trade funding objectives for key retail accounts, ensuring performance aligns with sales plans and budgets.
- Manage headquarters relationships and strategic account activities for Albertsons and WinCo, establishing regular connections with regions, divisions, and key stakeholders.
- Partner with business analytics teams to identify growth opportunities, analyze consumption and distributor data, strengthen forecasts, and guide field sales and merchandising teams.
- Manage divisional pricing, item voids, shelf management, distribution, promotional execution, and trade programs across assigned accounts.
- Lead new product and category distribution initiatives and implement retailer promotional plans aligned with broader sales, marketing, and shopper marketing strategies.
- Manage broker partners by setting clear objectives, conducting quarterly scorecard reviews, aligning priorities with customer strategies, and ensuring execution against revenue, distribution, merchandising, and promotional goals.
- Evaluate distribution models, including direct and KeHE routes to market, and identify the most effective approach for each account.
- Lead retailer and distributor trade shows, conduct quarterly market tours, and develop strong relationships with customers and industry stakeholders.
- Participate in internal quarterly business reviews with executive leadership, providing insights into performance, opportunities, risks, and growth strategies.
- Take ownership of emerging responsibilities and proactively identify new opportunities to strengthen the broader sales organization.
- Travel approximately 65% of the time for customer meetings, sales calls, trade shows, market tours, and other business activities.
- 5–7 years of experience in the CPG industry, with demonstrated experience managing strategic retail accounts.
- Direct experience working with Albertsons headquarters or key divisions is required; broker experience is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong background in sales planning, trade management, demand planning, forecasting, and account strategy.
- Proven ability to analyze syndicated and customer data using platforms such as SPINS, Nielsen, Numerator, or comparable tools.
- Experience working with trade management and demand planning software, as well as strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and online business applications.
- Excellent interpersonal, networking, relationship-building, and communication skills, with the ability to establish productive relationships across customer and internal teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to identifying opportunities and making commercial decisions.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, self-sufficient, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with sales, analytics, marketing, merchandising, brokers, and leadership.
- A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to take ownership, solve problems, and contribute beyond defined responsibilities.
- Passion for natural, organic, health, fitness, and nutrition-focused products is highly valued.
- Ability and willingness to travel approximately 65% of the time, both within and outside the assigned region.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employment-based visa sponsorship.
- Base salary of $110,000–$115,000, plus a 20% annual bonus opportunity.
