Position Description:
Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and reliable IT Application Support Specialist to join our growing service group, which is multiple locations across four states. This role provides hands-on support for employee onboarding, application administration, troubleshooting, technical support, and daily IT operations. The ideal candidate is technologically savvy and capable of supporting software optimization, implementation, and user adoption across our service locations. This position will be a full-time position reporting to the VP of Finance.
Primary Duties:
- Provide first-line IT application support for end users (in person/remote). The IT application range includes field, sales, operations, and accounting
- Improve application optimization and implementation to our service entities
- Triage and resolve hardware, software, and Microsoft 365 issues
- Set up and deploy laptops, desktops, and peripherals
- Manage user accounts (Microsoft 365: users, groups, SharePoint access)
- Review and respond to reported phishing emails
- Escalate complex technical issues to supervisor/vendors, as needed
Position Requirements:
Minimum qualifications and experience:
- IT-related degree or certification (preferred but not required)
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows/macOS), and common software applications
- Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
- Process improvement mindset
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals (Wi-Fi, routers, basic troubleshooting)
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn and support business applications and software platforms.
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills and a customer-service mindset
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Positive attitude and outlook
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Solid understanding of confidentiality in an information-sensitive employment role
- Attention to detail and quality of work performed by self and work to be assigned to project(s)
- Experience with multi-site environments
