Manager - Hospital Billing in Hannibal, Missouri at Hannibal Regional Hospital

Responsible for the overall hospital billing operations of the Patient Accounts department including billing, denial management, claim follow-up, compliance with third party payer regulations, and ongoing improvement to key revenue cycle indicators.

- High School Diploma or Equivalent required

- Two years college or equivalent experience in patient billing required

- Minimum two years supervisory experience preferred

- Ability to obtain AAHAM or HFMA certification within one year required

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Internet Explorer and payer website navigation

- Knowledge of CPT, ICD-9 coding and hospital/physician billing

- Knowledge of applicable federal, state and laws and regulations

- Knowledge of all aspects of third party reimbursement policies and practices

- Knowledge of hospital billing systems and government payment systems

- Knowledge of Rural Health billing helpful

- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

- Ability to assess and evaluate complex financial data
