JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Administrative Director of Surgical Services, the Director has 24/7 administrative and operational responsibility for one or more departments, including management of cost and finance; human resources; operations and patient flow; quality of care and clinical outcomes; patient, physician and staff satisfaction; change management; and any other relevant responsibilities related to this position of the Administrative Director of Surgical Services, the Director has 24/7 administrative and operational responsibility for one.
In collaboration with the Administrative Director, participates in strategic planning for the Surgical Services including management of cost and finance; human resources; operations quality of care and clinical outcomes; patient, physician and staff satisfaction;
Responsible for compliance with regulatory agency standards related to Surgical Services and Anesthesia
The Surgical Director is a key contributor in motivating and engaging staff.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Training/Experience:
REQUIRED:

Graduate of an RN School of Nursing

Bachelor of Science in Nursing
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-
A minimum of 3 years relevant experience in a medical/clinical practice environment.

Current BLS.
PREFERRED:
- A minimum of 1 year of relevant nursing management experience.
License/Certifications/Special Requirements:
-
Possesses current state RN license.

Maintain current BLS
