This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director of Alliance Management based in United States.
This is a high-visibility leadership opportunity at the intersection of BioPharma strategy, partnership management, and operational execution.
You will serve as the primary steward of strategic BioPharma alliances across a growing product and services portfolio.
The role combines executive relationship management with hands-on oversight of complex, high-value programs and partnerships.
You will coordinate cross-functional teams spanning clinical, product, real-world data, business development, legal, and marketing functions.
Your work will help translate partner needs into scalable, data-driven solutions supporting diagnostics, clinical research, and patient-focused initiatives.
You will also identify opportunities to expand existing partnerships and lead opportunities from initial identification and negotiation through execution.
With significant exposure to senior leadership and external stakeholders, you will help shape partnership strategy and accelerate growth in a dynamic healthcare environment.
- Serve as the primary relationship owner for key BioPharma partners, establishing strong governance, maintaining strategic alignment, and managing escalations throughout the partnership lifecycle.
- Lead portfolio-level execution across initiatives such as patient matching, sponsored testing, Companion Diagnostics, clinical trial support, and related programs, ensuring timelines, deliverables, risks, and dependencies remain on track.
- Provide strategic oversight of operational platforms and workflows supporting BioPharma programs, with a focus on scalability, data integrity, efficiency, and alignment with partner priorities.
- Orchestrate collaboration across Clinical, Product, Real-World Data, Patient Matching, Marketing, Legal, Business Development, and other internal teams to ensure coordinated and effective program delivery.
- Oversee operational and commercial processes, including contract execution, invoicing, revenue tracking, program performance monitoring, and renewal readiness.
- Identify opportunities to deepen and expand existing partnerships by developing trusted relationships, understanding evolving partner needs, and converting opportunities into executed programs.
- Lead end-to-end partnership expansion activities, from opportunity identification and commercial discussions through negotiation, implementation, and ongoing relationship management.
- Establish effective governance structures, operating rhythms, and performance measures that promote accountability and successful execution across complex partner ecosystems.
- Provide executive-level updates, strategic recommendations, and clear communication to internal leadership and external stakeholders.
- Build long-term relationships with senior BioPharma leaders while serving as a trusted strategic advisor and ensuring partner expectations are consistently understood and addressed.
- Advanced degree such as a Master’s or MBA in Health Sciences, Business, or a related discipline is preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in alliance management, program management, BioPharma-facing roles, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex partnerships and multi-stakeholder ecosystems within BioPharma, diagnostics, genomics, clinical research, healthcare, or related industries.
- Proven ability to oversee multiple large-scale initiatives simultaneously, balancing strategic priorities, operational execution, timelines, risks, and partner expectations.
- Strong relationship-management capabilities, with the emotional intelligence and judgment required to build trust with senior internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience providing governance and strategic direction across platforms, workflows, and operating models supporting complex healthcare or BioPharma programs.
- Strong commercial and operational understanding, including experience with contracts, negotiations, program performance, revenue or invoicing processes, and partnership expansion.
- Exceptional written, verbal, presentation, and executive communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and communicate effectively across organizational levels.
- Demonstrated ability to identify new opportunities within existing relationships and lead them through the full lifecycle from discovery and negotiation to implementation.
- Highly organized, accountable, collaborative, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment where priorities and partner needs evolve quickly.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% as required.
- Ability to complete a background check and required training, including HIPAA/PHI and security protocols, within 30 days of hire.
- Remote position available across the United States.
- Competitive base salary range of $187,000–$233,800 USD, with actual compensation determined by experience, skills, qualifications, certifications, and location.
