The Security Compliance Analyst is responsible for supporting information security compliance initiatives, improving cybersecurity awareness, and helping teams follow established security policies and standards. This role requires strong attention to detail, collaboration skills, and the ability to manage documentation, training activities, and security-related processes effectively.
- Coordinate cybersecurity awareness campaigns, annual training programs, and policy attestations to promote secure behaviors across the organization.
- Monitor employee participation in security training initiatives and collaborate with managers to ensure timely completion.
- Deliver security awareness education and communicate best practices to help reduce human-related security risks.
- Support the development and maintenance of security training materials aligned with organizational and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain documentation related to data classification, retention policies, labeling processes, and security controls.
- Manage data labeling procedures and assist users with applying information security requirements correctly.
- Investigate and support remediation activities related to data handling issues identified through security monitoring tools.
- Partner with business teams and end users to implement security controls and address compliance requirements.
- Maintain accurate device, application, and data inventories to support security governance.
- Collect, document, and organize evidence demonstrating that security processes are operating effectively.
- Assist with compliance activities related to frameworks such as ISO standards and other applicable security regulations.
- Support additional information security initiatives and projects as assigned.
The ideal candidate will have foundational experience in information security, strong organizational abilities, and the motivation to develop expertise in cybersecurity compliance. Success in this role requires effective communication, analytical thinking, and the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in information security or a related field.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze security-related challenges.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with employees and stakeholders at different levels.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage tasks, maintain records, and follow compliance processes.
- Ability to think strategically while managing detailed operational requirements.
- Interest in learning emerging cybersecurity technologies and industry practices.
- Basic computer skills and comfort working with enterprise technology environments.
- Experience with security frameworks such as NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, ISO standards, or PCI-DSS is a plus.
- Technology education, cybersecurity certifications, or prior experience supporting regulatory compliance initiatives are advantageous.
- Competitive annual salary range of $63,000 - $83,000, based on experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors.
