Senior Research Scientist, Evidence Synthesis

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Research Scientist, Evidence Synthesis based in the United States.

Join a collaborative research team dedicated to advancing healthcare decision-making through innovative evidence synthesis methodologies. In this role, you will lead complex systematic literature reviews, indirect treatment comparisons, and health technology assessment projects that support critical pharmaceutical and healthcare decisions. You'll combine scientific expertise, analytical skills, and client engagement capabilities to deliver high-quality research outputs with real-world impact. Working in a remote, collaborative environment, you will contribute to cutting-edge methodologies while mentoring colleagues and supporting the growth of evidence-based healthcare solutions. Accountabilities:
  • Lead and contribute to sophisticated evidence synthesis projects, including systematic literature reviews, network meta-analyses, matching-adjusted indirect comparisons, and related methodologies supporting health technology assessments.
  • Develop high-quality client deliverables including research protocols, statistical analysis plans, technical reports, presentations, and other scientific documentation.
  • Apply strong understanding of pharmaceutical research, healthcare evidence requirements, and methodological principles to guide project execution.
  • Evaluate available evidence, identify key analytical considerations, and communicate recommendations through clear scientific outputs.
  • Manage project components by coordinating with internal teams, ensuring quality standards, timelines, and budget objectives are achieved.
  • Support client relationships by leading discussions, responding to project inquiries, and providing independent scientific expertise.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior researchers through guidance, feedback, and development planning.
  • Contribute to resource planning, process improvements, business development activities, and proposal development.
  • Stay current with emerging evidence synthesis methods and contribute to advancing research capabilities within the organization.
Requirements
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field such as health services research, health economics, epidemiology, biostatistics, public health, public policy, biology, biochemistry, or a related discipline.
  • 4–6 years of professional experience in evidence synthesis, health research, systematic reviews, or related healthcare analytics fields.
  • Demonstrated experience with systematic literature reviews and/or indirect treatment comparisons such as network meta-analysis, matching-adjusted indirect comparisons, or simulated treatment comparisons.
  • Strong understanding of health technology assessment requirements and pharmaceutical industry research practices.
  • Ability to independently develop scientific deliverables, interpret evidence, and communicate complex findings clearly.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong project management skills, including prioritization, organization, risk identification, and delivery oversight.
  • Ability to mentor colleagues and share technical knowledge within a collaborative team environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EndNote.
  • Experience with R or R Shiny is advantageous.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.
