IT Field Support Technician II in The Woodlands, Texas at Sterling Construction Company, Inc.

What You’ll Do

• • Serve as the primary on-site IT resource for assigned business units
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and mobile devices with minimal escalation
  • Support HCSS (HeavyBid, HeavyJob, Equipment360 & more)
  • Deploy and configure devices using Intune / MDM tools
  • Support local network equipment (switches, wireless, VPNs)
  • Partner with Infrastructure, Applications, and Cybersecurity teams
  • Mentor Field Support Technician I staff
  • Lead site IT projects like office moves, refresh cycles, and new jobsite setups

You’ll balance independence with collaboration — owning your sites while staying connected to enterprise IT.

What You Bring

• • 5+ years of IT support experience (field or distributed environments preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of Windows 11, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Group Policy
  • Solid networking fundamentals (VLANs, VPN, switches, TCP/IP)
  • Experience with Intune or enterprise endpoint management
  • HCSS experience strongly preferred
  • CompTIA A+ and Network+ required
  • Construction or field operations experience is a big plus
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites
