• The primary goal of the Ophthalmic Tech/Scribe is to increase the efficiency and productivity of the physician in the clinic setting. This position works closely with physicians, mid-level providers, and nurses in a team setting to deliver high quality patient care in an efficient and effective manner. A strong work ethic, with the ability to multi-task and function in a fast moving work environments are essential functions of the job.

• Minimum Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
• 
  Minimum Experience
  • One year working in an ophthalmic practice.
• 
  Required Registration/License/Certification
  • BLS certification within 90 days of date of hire or transfer.
• 
  Preferred Education
  • Associates Degree
• 
  Preferred Experience
  • Two years working in an ophthalmic practice.
• 
  Preferred Registration/License/Certification
  • Certified Ophthalmic Assistant or Tech, COA or COT
