About This Position
Join our team as a Quality Assurance Coordinator, where you’ll help ensure our programs, policies, and patient care practices meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. In this role, you’ll partner with clinical, operational, and leadership teams to monitor performance, support accreditation readiness, and drive continuous improvement across the facility.
What You’ll Do
Quality Monitoring & Compliance
- Coordinate quality assurance and compliance activities across departments to meet accreditation standards, HIPAA requirements, and licensing regulations
- Conduct audits of medical records, patient observation processes, and quality indicators to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
- Maintain documentation and reporting needed for surveys, audits, and regulatory reviews
- Assist with incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action planning
Patient Observation & Safety Oversight
- Monitor compliance with patient observation and safety plans, ensuring timely reviews and documentation
- Evaluate observation events to identify patterns, trends, and risks, and communicate findings to leadership
- Review daily event reports and collaborate with clinical teams to reduce adverse incidents and improve outcomes
- Support leadership and nursing teams by providing observation performance data and actionable insights
Data Analysis & Performance Improvement
- Aggregate and analyze data to develop dashboards, scorecards, and reports highlighting quality trends and KPIs
- Monitor performance indicators such as patient safety, infection control, readmissions, and medication events
- Assist in developing and implementing performance improvement initiatives
- Educate staff on quality practices, compliance standards, and audit expectations
Systems & Technical Support
- Manage the patient observation platform within the EHR system, ensuring accurate and timely documentation
- Provide first-line support to staff using the observation system and coordinate with IT for issue resolution
- Train staff on observation tools, reporting processes, and documentation expectations
What We’re Looking For
Education
• High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
• Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
Experience
• Minimum of two (2) years of quality assurance experience (required)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (required)
• Experience in a hospital or healthcare environment (preferred)
Licenses/Certifications
• Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) or similar certification
(preferred)
