Position Summary
The HR Onboarding Specialist is responsible for delivering a seamless and engaging onboarding experience for new hires. This role ensures that employees are properly integrated into the organization by coordinating pre-employment processes, facilitating orientation, managing onboarding documentation, and partnering with leaders to support new hire success and retention.
Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate and manage the end-to-end onboarding process for new employees, from offer acceptance through initial employment period
• Prepare and process new hire documentation, including employment forms, background checks, and system access
• Conduct or facilitate new hire orientations, company overview sessions, and benefits enrollment
• Collaborate with hiring managers, payroll, and HR team members to ensure timely onboarding readiness
• Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS and ensure compliance with legal and organizational requirements
• Serve as the primary point of contact for new hires during onboarding, addressing questions and concerns
• Track onboarding metrics and employee feedback to identify areas for process improvement
• Support compliance with federal, state, and company employment policies
• Assist with offboarding processes and other HR administrative duties as needed
Required Qualifications
• 2+ years of experience in HR, onboarding, or employee administration
• Knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and onboarding procedures
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
