Pay rate: $30-36 hourly DOE

Schedule: Monday-Friday business hours

Must be able to commute to our Seattle office reliably.

This is a full-time, in-office position during the initial four-month training period, with the opportunity for some remote work once training has been completed.

Position Summary

The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, reconciling accounts, supporting month-end and year-end close processes. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain financial records, reports, and general ledger entries
  • Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and balance sheet accounts
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation
  • Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable activity
  • Review and process expense reports and invoices
  • Support payroll processing and related reporting as needed
  • Prepare sales tax, use tax, and other regulatory filings
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and company policies
  • Support external audits and provide requested documentation
  • Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 2+ years of accounting experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and standard accounting practices
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software
  • Experience with ERP systems preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments
