About This Position
The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, reconciling accounts, supporting month-end and year-end close processes. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain financial records, reports, and general ledger entriesReconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and balance sheet accountsAssist with month-end and year-end closing processesPrepare journal entries and supporting documentationMonitor accounts payable and accounts receivable activityReview and process expense reports and invoicesSupport payroll processing and related reporting as neededPrepare sales tax, use tax, and other regulatory filingsEnsure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and company policiesSupport external audits and provide requested documentationIdentify process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracyMaintain confidentiality of sensitive financial informationThe preceding is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting2+ years of accounting experience preferredStrong understanding of GAAP and standard accounting practicesProficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting softwareExperience with ERP systems preferredStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively across departmentsBenefits Package
