POSITION DESCRIPTIONPosition: Accounting ClerkDepartment: Community Management DivisionEducation Requirements: Associate degree or equivalent industry experience. We do this through four pillars: FAMILY, PARTNERSHIP, SERVICE, and ACCOUNTABILITY.Position Description: The Accounting Clerk will receive, deposit, and post receivables for clients. This is an accounting support position in a fast-paced centralized accounting services environment providing financial services to community associations throughout the Puget Sound. Requirements: One yearofexperience in accounts receivable/payableor other accounting position. Analytical skills to evaluate, prioritize, and categorize data in various forms and formats.Perform calculations and analysis used in basic accounting.Basic knowledgeofproper accounting principles, practices, and procedures.Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) at a proficient level.Knowledge of conflict resolution techniques at a proficient level.Professional communication skills (phone, interpersonal, written, verbal, etc.).Self-motivated, proactive,detail-oriented,anda teamplayer.Time management andtime-criticalprioritization skills.
Duties include, but are not limited to:Retrieval, sorting, and distribution of mail.Printing and mailing checks. Scanning all documents required for retention, includingan associationutilitybills. Manage vendor verification and creation processProcess daily deposits.Resolve lockbox, E-Check,and credit card file exceptions.Set up andmaintaindelinquencystatuses.Assess Late Fees per Associationpolicy.Manage late fees and late interestsetup.Understand and explain accountactivityonhomeowner ledger.Generate delinquencynotices.Prepare attorney agencypackages.Enter reimbursablecharges.Provide updated owner ledgerstothecollectionattorney or agency.Process Ownership ChangesPrepare Demand StatementsPrepare and Process Attorney PayoffsOther duties asassigned.
Compensation: W-2, full-time hourly position of $25-28/hour for the qualified candidates. Compensation also includes company-paid medical, dental, and vision benefits, paid vacation, and a 401K match. Location: 100% on site. Office located in Lynnwood, WA. Monday through Friday in office.
