Purchasing Specialist - Manufacturing at Antron Engineering & Machine – Bellingham, Massachusetts

We’re looking for an experienced Buyer / Purchasing Specialist to join our growing manufacturing team. In this role, you’ll be

responsible for purchasing materials, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring on-time delivery of materials and services to keep production running smoothly.

• Issue and manage purchase orders for materials, components, and outside services
  
• Source and evaluate suppliers to support cost, quality, and delivery goals
  
• Monitor open orders and expedite materials to keep production on schedule
  
• Work closely with Estimating, Engineering, Scheduling, and Production teams
  
• Support quoting by gathering supplier pricing and lead times
  
• Track vendor performance including on-time delivery and quality metrics
  
• Coordinate supplier corrective actions and resolve pricing or invoice issues
  
• Maintain purchasing records, certifications, and ERP system data

• 5+ years of purchasing or buyer experience in manufacturing
  
• Experience purchasing raw materials, machining services, fabrication, or production supplies
  
• Strong understanding of supply chain, supplier management, and inventory planning
  
• Ability to read technical drawings and material specifications
  
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems (JobBOSS preferred)
  
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
  
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  

• Associate’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or related field
  
• Experience in precision machining, metal fabrication, or contract manufacturing
