Job Description

Position Overview

The Account Specialist position works directly with a major CPG (consumer product goods) company. Their duties will include but are not limited to providing general sales support, maintaining accurate records and files, working on manufacturer billing, sales forms, and other documents as well as coordinating and attending meetings with clients.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Supports customer retention and satisfaction by managing account information, addressing inquiries, and ensuring quality service.
  • Prepares, verifies, and organizes data, reports, and forms needed for budgeting, sales tracking, and promotional planning.
  • Maintains accurate records and documentation that may include new item setup, product assortment updates, pricing, promotional, and/or budget changes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to support sales initiatives, ensure information accuracy, and streamline business processes.
  • Analyzes sales performance and market data to evaluate promotional impact and business trends.
  • Coordinates invoice processing and deduction reconciliation, ensurIng accurate and timely submissions.
  • Works directly within client-managed cloud-based systems to retrieve data, input sales information, and support daily business operations.
  • Maintains shared document repositories and ensures accessibility for relevant stakeholders.
  • Drafts and responds to business correspondence to facilitate cross-functional communication.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams); experience with cloud tools (e.g., SharePoint) preferred
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in business or related field a plus
  • Previous office or business experience a plus
  • Experience using sales tracking software a plus
  • Strong attention to detail with analytical and data management skills
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
  • Resourceful and proactive with a solution-oriented approach
  • Self-motivated team player with a professional and collaborative attitude

Schedule

  • Monday – Friday
  • 7 Hour Shift
  • Reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.

Physical Demands

  • Must use sensory skills to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public using the telephone and personal contact as defined by the ability to see, read, talk, hear, handle, or feel objects and controls.
  • Frequent sitting, walking, grasping, fingering, repetitive motion, and reaching. Occasional standing, bending, and crouching.
  • Ability to lift 20 pounds occasionally.
