Job Description
Population Health and Quality Analyst
Reports To: Director, Population Health & Quality Improvement
Location: Washington, DC (Hybrid)
Salary: $70,000 - $80,000
Position Purpose

The Population Health and Quality Analyst supports population health and quality improvement efforts by analyzing client health and Medicaid claims data to identify care gaps, improve outcomes, and inform strategies that integrate behavioral health, case management, and primary care.
What You Will Do
- Analyze health and claims data to identify trends, gaps in care, and opportunities to improve outcomes.
- Support population health and quality improvement initiatives and value-based care strategies.
- Write SQL queries to extract, transform, and validate data from EHRs and claims systems.
- Build dashboards (e.g., Power BI) to communicate KPIs and insights to clinical and non-clinical audiences.
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to integrate and optimize data sources
- Ensure data accuracy through cleaning, validation, and documentation.
- Train staff on reporting tools and support data-driven workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field + 5+ years of healthcare data analysis experience, OR a Master’s degree (e.g., MPH or similar) with 1 – 2+ years of healthcare data experience.
- Strong SQL skills (2–3+ years preferred) and advanced Excel (pivot tables, XLOOKUP, etc.).
- Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
- Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
- Experience with healthcare data, Medicaid, HEDIS, or EHR systems (preferred).
