TITLE: Human Resources Administrator
Reports to: COO/CEO
Classification/FLSA Status: Regular, Full Time, Non-Exempt
Location: Girl Scouts of Central Maryland, 4806 Seton Drive, Baltimore, MD 2125
POSITION SUMMARY: Provides full range of administrative and organizational support for human resources (HR) functions. It is critical that this person have the ability to interact with all levels of the organization, perform under pressure, is resourceful and efficient, and maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide employee benefits administration including enrollment support, monthly administration, and invoice processing.
- Assist with logistics of staff recruitment including job posting, screening, and new employee onboarding and orientation.
- Respond to and manage ongoing employment and reference verification requests from former employees and external organizations, ensuring timely, accurate, and confidential handling of employment records.
- Maintain processes encouraging employee engagement including annual performance management and reviews, employee engagement survey, and professional development.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly benefits cost allocation reports to submit to finance department.
- Ensure I-9 compliance by maintaining accurate and up-to-date employment eligibility verification records, conducting periodic audits, and updating documentation as required.
- Manage employee relations issues by conducting conflict resolution, facilitating discussions, and recommending appropriate solutions while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and employment laws.
- Manage delegate communications, records, and engagement activities.
- Coordinate delegate registration, orientation, training sessions, and information meetings.
- Assist in planning and facilitating delegate information sessions, annual meetings, and governance-related events
- Maintain delegate databases, attendance records, and training documentation.
- Prepare materials and communications for delegate meetings and training programs.
- Active participation in the development of an environment that fosters diversity, equity, inclusion, and access through words, actions, and attitude.
- Performs other duties as necessary or assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office and payroll systems. Working knowledge of Paylocity software is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and accurately under pressure of multiple deadlines, while being flexible and adaptable.
- Must have exceptional organization skills with attention to detail, thoroughness and follow-up.
- Must have strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills, including exceptional customer service skills.
- Access to reliable mode of transportation.
Education and Experience:
- Associates degree or higher, or equivalent experience. Preference of Human resources certification, or willingness to pursue and obtain certification from HRCI or SHRM.
- Minimum of two years of human resources generalist, payroll, and/or executive administrative assistant experience.

The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee must be able to withstand:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Operate office equipment manually.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds at times.

Salary Range $44,000 to $52,000
