This role offers an opportunity to drive revenue growth across an established portfolio of clients within the intellectual property technology sector.
You will focus exclusively on named accounts, identifying opportunities to expand adoption of software and professional services.
Working closely with Client Success and other internal teams, you will develop account strategies that support long-term customer value and commercial growth.
The position combines consultative selling, relationship management, product demonstrations, proposal development, and opportunity management.
You will become a trusted advisor to clients by understanding their business objectives and connecting them with solutions that address their evolving needs.
Success in the role requires strong commercial judgment, organization, communication, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and opportunities.
This is a full-time opportunity for an experienced sales professional who enjoys building strategic client relationships and owning revenue targets.
- Develop and execute account strategies with sales and client success stakeholders to drive long-term growth across named client accounts.
- Identify opportunities to increase adoption of software products and professional services while supporting client business outcomes.
- Proactively maintain engagement with assigned accounts and introduce relevant products, services, and expansion opportunities.
- Present product and service overviews, conduct live demonstrations, and clearly communicate the value of available solutions.
- Prepare proposals and contribute to responses for requests for proposals and other client sales processes.
- Collaborate with Professional Services to understand client requirements and develop appropriate statements of work.
- Partner with Legal and relevant internal stakeholders to facilitate contracting, amendments, and statements of work through completion.
- Maintain accurate Salesforce information and account activity to support KPI tracking, forecasting, and reporting.
- Build strong client knowledge and relationships while increasing awareness and appreciation of the organization's technology and services.
- Participate actively in the sales cycle, including negotiation, closing, and expansion activities.
- Own an assigned revenue quota and apply a structured, targeted account-selling methodology to maximize account potential.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 8+ years of professional sales experience, ideally with experience managing and expanding existing client accounts.
- Strong consultative and relationship-based selling skills, with the ability to identify customer needs and translate them into commercial opportunities.
- Positive, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset, with the creativity and determination to overcome challenges and maximize opportunities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a cross-functional team environment.
- Strong interest in learning the intellectual property industry; knowledge of patents, trademarks, copyrights, domains, or related IP processes is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability or willingness to become highly knowledgeable about complex software products and confidently present and demonstrate technology to clients.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, accounts, and active opportunities simultaneously.
- Strong influencing, collaboration, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence communicating by phone, email, and in-person.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate account and opportunity information.
- Experience using Salesforce or another CRM platform is a plus.
- Annual salary expected to range from $80,000 to $110,000, depending on relevant experience, skills, and qualifications.
