Inside Account Manager, Associate

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Inside Account Manager, Associate based in the United States.

This is a remote sales opportunity focused on growing revenue across an established customer base while developing new business opportunities.
You will serve as a key point of contact for customers, identifying needs and matching them with relevant software and developer tooling solutions.
The role combines inbound lead management with proactive outreach, upselling, cross-selling, prospecting, qualification, and closing.
You will manage opportunities throughout the full sales lifecycle and take ownership of achieving and exceeding your assigned quota.
Success requires strong commercial judgment, disciplined pipeline management, and the ability to build trusted customer relationships at scale.
You’ll work in a collaborative, inclusive environment with access to a broad portfolio of technology solutions and opportunities for professional growth.
The position is fully remote, with candidates expected to work from the Eastern or Central U.S. time zones.

Accountabilities:
  • Manage the sales lifecycle: Handle inbound customer communications, qualify opportunities, develop prospects, negotiate, and close revenue-generating deals from initial engagement through completion.
  • Drive quota attainment: Achieve assigned sales targets by converting inbound leads into qualified opportunities and closed business.
  • Grow existing accounts: Identify and pursue upsell and cross-sell opportunities within the existing customer base through proactive outreach and consultative engagement.
  • Develop new business: Evaluate prospective customers, identify their needs, and introduce relevant software, AI, developer tooling, and debugging solutions.
  • Manage high-volume activity: Efficiently organize and prioritize a broad range of inbound leads, customer interactions, follow-ups, and daily sales activities.
  • Build customer relationships: Act as a frontline customer contact, understand business and technical needs, and connect customers with appropriate solutions.
  • Maintain pipeline visibility: Use CRM systems to accurately track opportunities, activities, forecasts, and customer information.
  • Forecast performance: Maintain an accurate view of pipeline health, business potential, and expected results while identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Expand product knowledge: Continuously develop knowledge of products, industry trends, customer workflows, and solution use cases to strengthen sales effectiveness.
  • Generate revenue: Contribute to bookings through a combination of inbound conversion, prospecting, cross-selling, upselling, and new-account acquisition.
Requirements
  • Sales experience: Previous experience in a sales environment, preferably within high-volume, transactional software sales.
  • Full-cycle sales: Demonstrated ability to manage opportunities from lead qualification and prospecting through negotiation and closing.
  • Account expansion: Experience prospecting within existing accounts and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
  • Technology sales: Experience selling AI or developer tooling is advantageous but not required.
  • CRM proficiency: Experience working with CRM systems is required; Salesforce experience is a plus.
  • Pipeline management: Strong ability to manage, read, and forecast a sales pipeline accurately.
  • Organization: Excellent time-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple activities and consistently complete daily sales objectives.
  • Commercial focus: Demonstrated ability to generate revenue from existing customers as well as new accounts.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to engage customers across multiple channels.
  • Self-motivation: Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining accountability for activity, pipeline, and quota performance.
  • Learning agility: Willingness to build expertise across products, platforms, industries, solutions, and customer workflows.
  • Education: A bachelor's degree in technology, business, or a related discipline is preferred but not required.
  • Location: Candidates must be based in the United States and able to work within the Eastern or Central time zones.
Benefits
  • Base salary: $52,000–$59,000 annually.
  • Commission: Eligibility for the company's commission incentive plan, with up to approximately $34,000 in additional earnings at goal.
