Commercial Ag Pre-Closer in Northwest Ohio (multiple options), Ohio at Farmers & Merchants State Bank

POSITION SUMMARY:

Ensure that the loan file has all required documentation collected, verified and follows applicable loan policies.

OBJECTIVES OF THIS ROLE:

• Utilize sales training skills to provide outstanding customer service.
• Ensure all required documents have been collected (financial statements, taxes, appraisals, corporate resolutions, title work with sufficient coverage, etc.) and are ready for closing. Any missing items are to be recorded in the pending/missing database.
• Confirm that the loan file is complete and ready for closing documents to be created.
• Ensure that loan information is verified.
• Document Exceptions and create closing memos.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Compare loan request to loan proposal/officer approval for accuracy
• Verify closing requirements have been fulfilled
• Review documents prior to printing
• Comply and satisfactorily pass tests for bank policy and regulations that apply to position.
• Review loan files to see if all required documentation has been collected.
• Compare information on loan worksheets to approvals and supporting documentation to ensure we have accurate information.
• Track all exceptions and verify that the appropriate approvals were collected.
• Work closely with the Lending Assistant to get any discrepancies corrected.
• Create a closing memo to document things that need completed at closing.
• Provide a clear to close when all loans are accurate and ready for closing docs to be created.
• Review loan documents prior to printing.
• Comply and satisfactorily pass tests for bank policy and regulations that apply to position.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma required.
• One – three months’ related experience preferred.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

• Valid Driver’s License

• As generally applicable to F&M Bank and commensurate with these job functions, this job role includes accountabilities for following Bank policies and related procedures, as well as regulatory requirements involving federal and state laws, regulations, and related guidance.
• Compliance with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), including accurate completion of Currency Transaction Reports (CTR) when applicable, Anti-Money Laundering Act (AML), Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) and the USA PATRIOT Act. Adhere to Customer Identification, Customer Due Diligence and reporting of suspicious activities to the BSA Department.
