This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Software Configuration Specialist based in Canada.
This role plays a key part in delivering successful software implementations for public sector and enterprise clients by configuring, adapting, and supporting mission-critical applications. You will work closely with project managers, developers, and clients to translate business requirements into functional system configurations. The position blends technical expertise with customer-facing responsibilities, requiring strong analytical thinking and communication skills. You will participate in discovery sessions, system setup, testing, training, and ongoing support activities across multiple implementation projects. Operating in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, you will help ensure solutions are delivered on time and aligned with client operational needs. This is a hands-on role where your work directly impacts system adoption, user experience, and overall project success across North American deployments.
Support end-to-end software implementation activities by configuring systems, translating client requirements into technical solutions, and ensuring successful deployment of application features and workflows.
• Participate in client discovery sessions to gather, clarify, and document technical and functional requirements
• Configure software solutions using business rules, workflows, and system parameters to meet client needs
• Collaborate with project managers, developers, QA, and support teams to ensure smooth implementation delivery
• Assist with system testing, troubleshooting, and issue resolution during deployment phases
• Deliver end-user training and create supporting documentation and training materials
• Act as a technical liaison between clients and internal teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment
Bachelor’s degree, college diploma in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience, with a strong foundation in software implementation and customer-facing technical roles.
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including networking, security principles, VPNs, and virtualized environments
• Experience working with databases such as MSSQL and PostgreSQL
• Familiarity with system configuration, implementation workflows, and enterprise software environments
• Knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, AJAX, or XML is an asset
• Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or DevOps-style environments is an advantage
• Excellent communication skills in English; French proficiency is highly valued
• Strong customer service mindset with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently
