Technical Account Manager, West

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Technical Account Manager, West based in the United States.

This role is focused on helping enterprise customers maximize the value of a leading cloud security platform through strategic guidance, technical expertise, and proactive partnership.
You will serve as a trusted advisor, guiding customers from onboarding and deployment through adoption, operational success, and long-term growth.
The position combines deep technical knowledge with customer relationship management, acting as a bridge between customers and internal product, engineering, sales, and support teams.
You will help organizations strengthen their cloud security posture while driving measurable business outcomes and customer satisfaction.

Accountabilities:

The Technical Account Manager will own customer success strategies by combining technical expertise, security knowledge, and relationship management to drive adoption, retention, and business value.

  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor and product expert, guiding customers throughout their cloud security platform journey from implementation to expansion.
  • Support customers with deployment, configuration, and operationalization strategies based on security best practices and cloud expertise.
  • Act as the primary technical point of contact for a portfolio of enterprise customers, resolving questions and coordinating solutions across multiple communication channels.
  • Develop customer success plans with measurable objectives aligned with security, compliance, and business goals.
  • Drive platform adoption by proactively identifying opportunities, removing adoption barriers, and helping customers achieve maximum value.
  • Partner with internal teams including product management, engineering, sales, renewals, and support to deliver a seamless customer experience.
  • Monitor customer health, identify risks related to satisfaction, adoption, or renewal, and implement proactive mitigation strategies.
  • Communicate progress, outcomes, and strategic recommendations through executive business reviews and stakeholder presentations.
  • Advocate for customer needs by collecting feedback, documenting feature requests, and collaborating with product and engineering teams.
  • Manage a portfolio of enterprise customers, identifying expansion opportunities and supporting renewal initiatives alongside sales teams.
  • Use customer data, CRM systems, and technical insights to track engagement trends and inform retention strategies.
  • Contribute to the growth of the technical account management organization by improving processes, creating documentation, mentoring teammates, and developing subject-matter expertise.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a technically skilled customer success professional with experience supporting enterprise cloud environments and security-focused solutions.

  • 5–8+ years of experience in technical customer-facing roles such as Technical Account Management, Professional Services, Solutions Engineering, Technical Support, Customer Success Engineering, or Cloud Architecture.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms and architectures, including at least one major cloud provider such as AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, or OCI.
  • Cloud certification experience is preferred, such as Certified Solutions Architect or Certified DevOps Engineer.
  • Knowledge of cloud security principles, threat models, and cloud-native application protection platforms (CNAPP).
  • Experience with container technologies including Docker and Kubernetes, along with related security considerations.
  • Familiarity with DevOps technologies such as CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), version control systems, and modern development workflows.
  • Understanding of Linux and Windows operating systems, runtime environments, and security monitoring concepts.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities with the ability to drive resolution across complex technical environments.
  • Proven experience managing a portfolio of enterprise customers and building trusted relationships with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive customer adoption, business outcomes, and retention goals.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills with both technical and executive audiences.
  • Ability and willingness to continuously learn emerging cloud and cybersecurity technologies.
