The Targeting Systems Analyst will perform advanced all-source intelligence analysis focused on military capabilities, target development, and operational support. This role requires strong analytic tradecraft, collaboration across intelligence organizations, and the ability to produce detailed intelligence assessments that inform mission decisions.
- Conduct all-source analysis of military capabilities to support target development and broader intelligence objectives.
- Analyze complex military systems to identify vulnerabilities, dependencies, relationships, and operational significance.
- Apply structured analytic techniques, critical thinking, and intelligence tradecraft standards throughout the analysis and production process.
- Collaborate with intelligence agencies and mission partners to build consensus, resolve analytic differences, and meet production objectives.
- Develop, write, and present comprehensive long-form intelligence products for customers and stakeholders.
- Support integration of intelligence analysis into targeting processes and joint operational planning activities.
- Provide rigorous assessments that translate technical and operational information into actionable intelligence.
- Maintain awareness of evolving adversary capabilities, technologies, and operational environments.
- Contribute to mission success by delivering accurate, timely, and well-supported analytic products.
The ideal candidate is an experienced intelligence professional with a strong background in military capabilities analysis, target development, and intelligence production. They should possess excellent analytical judgment, communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across complex mission environments.
- Bachelor’s degree required, or equivalent intelligence experience in place of formal education.
- 8+ years of related professional experience in intelligence analysis or a similar field.
- 5+ years of experience as an all-source military capabilities analyst.
- Active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph required.
- Experience working with multiple intelligence agencies and mission organizations to drive analysis and production.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and break down complex military systems.
- Experience creating and presenting detailed written intelligence products.
- Strong understanding of intelligence analytic tradecraft, including structured analysis and critical thinking methodologies.
- Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to technical and operational audiences.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a mission-focused environment.
- Experience as a target systems analyst or targeting analyst preferred.
- Experience analyzing military capabilities within the European Theater preferred.
- Knowledge of the Joint Targeting Cycle and Joint Planning Process preferred.
- Master’s degree preferred.
