Job Description

Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Payroll Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for supporting full-cycle payroll processing, including accurate and timely weekly and/or bi-weekly payroll in a multi-state environment. Key duties include reconciling payroll, managing time and attendance data, and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.

The ideal candidate has experience with ADP systems, strong Excel skills, and a solid understanding of payroll processes. This position also involves handling payroll inquiries, maintaining records, and assisting with year-end reporting. Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and the ability to multitask and collaborate effectively are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily payroll department operations and provide support to Payroll Team
  • Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
  • Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports
  • Understand proper taxation of employer paid benefits
  • Execute time and attendance processing and interface with payroll
  • Process accurate and timely year-end reporting when necessary (W-2, W-2c, etc.)

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience processing multi-state payroll
  • Working knowledge of payroll best practices
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations
  • Strong PC skills including proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Working knowledge of ADP Timekeeping, ADP Enterprise, and ADPR
  • Strong work ethic and team player
  • High degree of professionalism
  • Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material
  • Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills
  • Ability to communicate with various levels of management
  • Decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
