NHK Seating of America, Inc. is owned by NHK Spring of Japan. The Frankfort plant supports an Automotive company in Lafayette. We supply the seats in a fast-paced, Just-In-Time environment. A finished seat can come off our line about every minute. The work is very repetitive and physically demanding. Our production requirements are directly linked to our customer, as customer demand increases and decreases on a daily basis so does NHK Seat production requirements.
Pay Wage: $25.90
Schedule: 1st shift: 7:00am to completion
Job description
- Understand requirements via the customer’s quality manualUnderstand the execution of processes, plans, verifications, and tools throughout various manufacturing environments including Customer, internal and supply based applicationsWork with other departments and cross-functional teams to lead RCI’s and countermeasure activities associated with customer outflow, internal non-conformities and supplier based failuresGenerate detailed reports of investigation activities capable of being presented to our Customer, internal management and our supply base as necessaryLog and track various non-conformities that affect process control documentation such as PFMEA, Control Plan, Inspection Standard and Inspection PlanAid in maintaining APQP documents including PFMEA, Process Flow Diagram and Control PlanEngage in product commonization and Value Analysis activities.Understand future Design and Process changes and work with a multi-departmental team to assess possible risks and methods for change point managementAid in Customer PPAP submissions within the Customer QMSAct as an interface between departments to ensure strong communication and accurate reportingProvide support at Customer or Supplier locations as necessaryMust be able to lift 35 lbs. frequently and 50 lbs. occasionallySupport all other duties assigned
Qualifications:
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, blueprint interpretation, AIAG standards, supplier development, quality and purchasing disciplines.
• Good written, verbal and interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. • • •
• Proficient in Microsoft Applications (excel, word, power point, etc.) and other computer programs as required
• Good organizational skills with completed, ongoing and incoming tasks.
• Possess a strong level of independence to ensure the ability to understand and follow schedules.
• Detail oriented.
• Possess strong problem investigation and problem-solving skill.
• Good supervisory skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Quality Assurance experience - 1+ year experience
