About This Position
The Site Lead will provide exemplary service to staff, members and prospective members, demonstrating good human relation skills, community building, and play a key role in promoting culture that amplifies the member's experience. Supervise facility operations to ensure a safe and healthy environment for employees, members, and guests to be, belong, and become. Provides administrative support to create an optimal experience for guests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Promotes a team environment through a positive approach in supervision, assistance, coaching for member experience, communication, and interactions with others.
- Engage people through in ways that:
Welcome: Smile, greet people by name, introduce yourself.
Connect: Ask questions, share stories, introduce people to other staff and members.
Support: Affirm and encourage staff and members
Invite: Share opportunities to get involved and give back to the community
- Follows and enforces all YMCA policies, rules, regulations and procedures, including emergency and safety procedures.
- Attend all staff meetings and trainings as required.
- Responds to and reports any emergencies, accidents, or incidents. Complete incident and accident reports as necessary.
- Be responsible for the opening and closing of the facility, ensuring that the facility is ready for members at opening and safely secured nightly.
- Report to custodial staff or maintenance director any repairs are needed, lights out, etc.
- Substitute for other custodial staff or front desk staff when needed.
- Inform appropriate staff when issues arise in the building requiring additional attentio
- Maintain and oversee daily mechanical building operations and respond as needed.
- Perform security duties as needed in the building and on the property, using self-judgment on issues that may arise.
- Serve as a liaison between members, guests and staff and address any concerns or issues that may arise.
- Other duties as assigned.
Child Abuse Prevention Duties
- Adhere to policies related to boundaries with children.
- Attend required abuse risk management training.
- Report suspicious and inappropriate behaviors and policy violations.
- Follow mandated abuse reporting requirements.
- Adhere to job specific abuse risk management responsibilities.
- Ensure unused rooms and closets remain locked; routinely monitor high-risk locations (locker-rooms and bathrooms), etc.
- Ensure children are properly signed in and signed out, ensures only authorized adults are allowed in the facility, etc.
- At least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or GED required
- CPR/AED and First Aid certifications or obtaining within first 2 days of hire
- Work effectively under stress

- Operate powered equipment
- Proficient in operating a computer
- Speak clearly. Speak fluent English
