Residential Worker (DSP) – Buena Vista (30 hours a week) (Overnight) in Chicago, Illinois at ASSOCIATION HOUSE OF CHICAGO

Responsible for providing caretaking, teaching, and recreational activities within the house. Shows respect for individual resident’s

abilities, needs, and culture. Facilitates individual and group activities with residents geared toward increasing capacity in interpersonal communication, problem solving, self-care, hygiene, motor skills, cooking skills, etc. Per MANDT training, provides crisis de-escalation when needed. Documents shift activities and individual participant’s behavior and activities. Provides medication administration per training and guidelines

• High school diploma or GED equivalency required.
• DSP Credential required.
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
• Flexibility to work on weekends, evenings, holidays during emergencies or coverage shortage.
