Job Description

TruBlue Home Service Ally of Western DuPage is seeking a dependable, skilled Mid-Level Remodeler/Carpenter to join our growing team. This position is ideal for someone with solid residential remodeling experience who can complete projects independently while working under the direction of a lead technician on larger jobs.

Our projects include bathroom and kitchen remodeling, carpentry, flooring, drywall, painting, and accessibility modifications throughout DuPage County and the surrounding western suburbs.

Responsibilities
  • Perform residential remodeling and repair work
  • Complete rough and finish carpentry
  • Frame walls, closets, door openings, and other structures
  • Install doors, windows, trim, baseboards, crown molding, and cabinetry
  • Install flooring, including LVP, laminate, and tile
  • Hang, finish, and repair drywall
  • Perform minor painting and finishing work
  • Assist with bathroom and kitchen remodeling
  • Complete basic plumbing and electrical tasks within your experience level
  • Install grab bars, handrails, ramps, and other accessibility products
  • Read measurements, drawings, and project scopes
  • Prepare accurate material lists
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite
  • Communicate professionally with customers and coworkers
  • Document work with before-and-after photographs
  • Properly care for company tools, vehicles, and equipment
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of residential remodeling or carpentry experience
  • Working knowledge of framing, finish carpentry, drywall, flooring, and painting
  • Experience with bathroom and kitchen remodeling preferred
  • Ability to complete common remodeling tasks with limited supervision
  • Ability to accurately measure, cut, level, and install materials
  • Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, ladders, and jobsite equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
  • Dependable, punctual, and professional
  • Ability to communicate clearly with customers and team members
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and perform physical construction work
  • Must be able to pass a background check

  • Tile installation
  • Cabinet installation
  • Door widening and accessibility modifications
  • Basic electrical and plumbing
  • Aging-in-place or ADA-related remodeling
  • Experience working in occupied homes

Schedule
  • Full-time
  • Monday through Friday
  • Occasional weekend work may be available
