This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who takes pride in technical accuracy, safety, and keeping equipment reliable and road-ready. The position is responsible for performing preventative maintenance on dry van trailers and associated equipment, including tires, air brake systems, wheel seals, lighting systems, and trailer doors. Responsibilities also include documenting inspections and repairs, supporting compliance with applicable Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) standards, and communicating effectively with operations and leadership regarding equipment status and repair timelines.
